Did you know that over 20% of children in California do not have enough resources to make ends meet? According to official poverty statistics, about 1 in 5 children in San Joaquin County and about 1 in 4 children in Stanislaus County are living in poverty. Thankfully, social safety net programs that focus specifically on helping children keep them from falling into poverty as adults.
Toys for Tots of San Joaquin and Stanislaus Counties is a social safety net program that delivers new, unwrapped toys to local children in need. With the United States Marine Corps Reserve delivering a toy during the holidays, a message of hope is also delivered to these children: they are worthy of the magic and wonder of the holiday season.
We are raising funds for our local Toys for Tots programs, so that less fortunate children can experience holiday joy.
